Valley of Narcissi — a natural wonder of Zakarpattia
UNESCO Biosphere Reserve • 18 km from Shayan
Valley of Narcissi is a unique nature reserve near the town of Khust, where each May the largest field of wild narrow-leaved narcissi in Central Europe bursts into bloom. Across 257 hectares, millions of white flowers create a breathtaking spectacle that attracts tourists from around the world. The reserve is part of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve and is included in the UNESCO network.
From Садиба «Закарпатський Прованс» to the Valley of Narcissi is only 18 kilometers, making our estate the ideal base for visiting the reserve. The blooming season usually falls in mid-May and coincides with the May holidays. On the way, you can stop at the ruins of Khust Castle, which offers panoramic views of the valley and the Carpathian ridges.
Combine a visit to the Valley of Narcissi with hiking in the Carpathians, bathing in thermal springs, and tasting Zakarpattia wines. May is one of the best months for a vacation in Zakarpattia: warm weather, nature in full bloom, and the pool on the estate grounds is already open.
